*originally recorded on 12-10-20*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.

Yesterday, I went out to the NS NA District to shoot some more crossings along it. As I was about to arrive at this crossing, I heard that NS 320 was soon to leave Sheffield Yard over the scanner, so I decided to set-up here. After a while of waiting, NS 320 finally came through, though with a bit of a boring lash-up, sadly. The power on NS 320 today was an ES44AC leading an AC44C6M and another ES44AC as the mid-train DPU.

This crossing is a pretty nice one, being a mid-1990s NS install. At some point, most likely in the late 90s, NS replaced the bell here with the current GS Type 1, but no major changes appear to have occurred here since, thankfully. Also quite nice to see (or, I guess, hear) is that the bell here rings while the gates rise. Always nice to see a bell operating like this, IMHO.
