*originally recorded on 12-18-20*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.

This was the fifth crossing I chased NS 320 to, which features a nice 90s NS install. Sadly, sometime back between 2008 and 2014, the original Safetran mechanical bell here was replaced with the current GS Type 2, but since then, no major changes appear to this crossing. I believe with this video though, I have recorded all of the 1990s NS installs along the NA District.

Only change I noticed as of 1-30-21 was that the bell here now rings while the gates are down:

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

After I caught NS 320 in Parrish, it met NS 329 there, the latter of which stopped to check the water level in 320's DPU, as they were having a low water alarm with it (it turned-out it was pretty much exactly half-full). Either way, I watched 329 leave Parrish, then chased it on up here to Jasper. Here we see NS 329 heading north through Jasper, with an SD70ACe leading an ET44AC on the head-end and an SD70ACu working as the DPU!

As you can see, since I was last here and apparently not too long before this video, NS replaced the GS Type 2 e-bell here with a GS Type 3, with the GS Type 2 having been left sitting upside down on the gate mechanism. I'm honestly not entirely sure why the GS Type 2 was replaced, as, despite having collected a bunch of rain water in the top, I can confirm it (amazingly) still works. Either way, this crossing now has a GS Type 3, which still (unintentionally) rings while the gates are down like the Type 2 did. The GS Type 2 that was here also appears to have a manufacturing date of February of 2011 stamped on the bottom of it, which gives me a better idea as to when the original Safetran mechanical bell here was replaced.
Despite the 2nd track here having been removed, the crossing also still retains its 2 tracks signs. The closer signal now also has all RECO LED gate lights.
