So I found this photo taken in 1955 at Ft. Lauderdale, Fl at the F.E.C. Station.
Can you spot what's so special about this picture?
If you can't, here's the answer. That's a bloody US&S DW-Type Wig Wag upgraded with flashers and a WRRS bell (Most likely a motorized bell since that's what the FEC preferred back in the day)!!!
In this photo taken back in the late 20's-early 30's, you can clearly see the Wig-Wag before it was upgraded. These were installed on the FEC back in mid 20's as part of a modernization plan.
I wanted to share this with y'all cause this really is the first time I've ever seen a DW-Type "retrofitted" with flashers and a new bell as opposed to being completely replaced! Crazy shit really, I'm glad I came across this photo on Ebay.
