Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
This was the third crossing I chased A700 to, and it was a pretty decent one as well. The signals here are a nice old 80s Safetran install put-up by the SBD, though in the 2000s, the original Safetran mechanical bell here was replaced with the current GS Type 2. Since then though, no major changes have occured here, and it's always nice to see 80s Safetran installs like these.
A bit unusually though is that the arms holding the side-lights here were cantilevered-over the lights, rather there coming-up from underneath them. Only ever seen that one other place else, as Lewisburg Road in Birmingham, AL, and that was an old SOU install. Not entirely sure why it was done here either, but it certainly looks a bit odd, to say the least.
As you can see, I also decided to adjust my camera a bit just before the crossing activated, though I think I was still able to get a good shot of the crossing in action.
