Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
After catching 16A, I continued on east to this crossing, where I got to meet the signal maintainer I mentioned in my last video. I also asked him if he knew if anything was approaching, so he checked the ATCS and saw that A95 was lined to head to Corinth from Rossville, but would be at least another hour before it came through. As such, I got set-up and waited for a little over an hour, but eventually, NS A95 came flying through with a single Dash-9 for power.
This crossing is another excellent one, featuring a pair of gated signals installed by the SOU back in the 1970s. These signals are slightly newer than the ones at Sain Road, dating to the late-70s, but are still great to see either way. Like with Sain Road as well, these signals are pretty much still almost entirely original outside of the bell, which replaced the previous one here sometime after the year 2000, and most likely before 2015, it appears. Don't believe there's any plans to upgrade these signals anytime soon, though said maintainer mentioned that he'd like to get the money to be able to upgrade the remaining 8 inch lights along the line, which isn't too surprising, lol. Either way, this is another nice classic install that I'm glad I was able to film, especially since it meant I got to film more 8 inch lights.
