The main part of the Loram rail grinder wasn't too far behind the first, so right after I shut-off my camera at Center Street, Tommy and I ran on over to this crossing to catch it next, where we were just able to beat it to in time. Here we see the main rail-grinder part of the rail grinder on its way to Rossville to tie down for the evening as well.

This crossing is another excellent one, featuring a mostly-"pure" mid-90s NS install. Sadly, it sounds like one of the internal parts of the Safetran mechanical bell here is getting quite worn-out, making it very clicky as it rings. Other than that, though, it still sounds quite healthy so NS would just have to replace that little piece and it'd probably sound brand new for a good decade after. Unfortunately, I doubt they'll ever do it, but I'm certainly glad that I got to record this crossing before it was further upgraded. Another nice little feature of this crossing is that, like with Center Street, the bell here also rings when the gates rise.
