Signal on the left: 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, 3 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, 3 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a Safetran Hybrid bell, a Safetran-branded Siemens gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
After catching the BNSF intermodal train, I went over to the CN Fulton Subdivision to see if I could catch anything. Unfortunately, despite there being a northbound sitting a mile to the south and being lined through this crossing, it didn't move due to a train heading onto the CSX that was blocking it from moving, along with track work going on further to the north. As such, I wasted a few hours waiting for absolutely nothing on this line, though Elliot did join me for a bit later on. Thankfully, not too long after I got to this crossing, a signal maintainer showed-up to preform the monthly tests on the crossing, so at least I was able to film something here.
The signals here are quite nice, on the other hand, having been put-up by the ICG back in the early 1980s. In the 1990s though, it appears that the IC replaced the original Safetran mechanical bell here with the current Safetran Hybrid bell. Then, in the 2000s, CN upgraded the overhead lights with 8 inch Safetran Fading LEDs, though the mast lights were left incandescent. The signals then remained unchanged until sometime between 2017 and 2018, when the original gate mech on the closer signal was replaced. Finally, sometime after Ethan had documented this crossing in May of 2020, CN upgraded the remaining incandescent lights here to 12 inch LEDs, making this crossing have a mix of all three light sizes! Thankfully, the 8 inch overhead lights and Hybrid bell are still around and hopefully they'll remain for many more years to come, though the signal maintainer did say that he and other maintainers hate working on the Hybrid bells (due to the fact that wasps love to build their nests inside of 'em).
