Admittedly, this crossing wasn't our first choice to record next. After the Deepstep turn passed us on their way to the yard, we headed up to the Fall Line Freeway crossing to record the Safetran Model 85 gate mechs there, only to find out they'd since yeeted those and replaced them with WCH gate mechs. Then we went to McCarty Street since that one had some old 80s Safetran signals that were still pretty much entirely original, and it was on the SAN's short stretch of street running, only to find out that one is now fully LED (with GE Uniform Look LEDs) and had the bell replaced with an NEG e-bell (along with more new WCH gate mechs there). After that, we just decided to try for this crossing since it had a nice 1980s SAN install that seems to pretty much be almost entirely original, and sure enough, it hadn't changed since we saw it last year. As such, we got set-up here and not too long after we did, the SAN's Deepstep Turn came through on their way to work some industries northwest of Sandersville.

This crossing's a pretty nice one. Like I said in the paragraph above, the crossing here features what appears to be a 1980s install by the Sandersville railroad, with almost everything being original. Of course, the Safetran gate mech on the far side seems to have had its counterweight arms replaced at some point, and a number of the lights have had LED bulbs put in them. Both WCH mechanical bells are still here though and sound rather healthy, so that's rather nice to see, and it's always nice getting to record another mechanical bell pair.
