*originally recorded on 7-29-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Modern Industries mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, an NEG electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, NEG LED gate lights, and a RECO gate light.

After catching Q692, we both went up to Stillwell (where I documented the crossing) to wait at the signal for the south end of the siding there for it to upgrade for Q197 to come through. After a little while of waiting, Elliot went back down to Savannah to see if there was any more action down around there, while I stuck around at Stillwell, watching the signal. Eventually, it upgraded so I hopped on up to this crossing where, after a little while of waiting, Q197 came through with CSX's first ST70AH on the head-end and an ES44AH working as the mid-train DPU! This was my last train of the day, and it was certainly a rather nice one to end off on.
Apparently while I was waiting for this one though, the SOFR did their afternoon run during the daylight, so that was a bit disappointing to miss, though, given what I was able to record here, I don't really mind it too much.

This crossing is another nice one, featuring a pair of SCL signals from the late-70s, that are still entirely original outside of the bells. It appears that in the 80s, the far signal's original Safetran mechanical bell died and the SBD replaced it with the current MI bell. Then, sometime after 2012, the closer signal's Safetran mechanical bell also died and got replaced with the current NEG e-bell. Thankfully, no other major changes have occured to these signals, so they still retain all of the original Safetran 8 inch lights and both original Safetran gate mechs. Hopefully these classic SCL signals remain unchanged for a good while longer as well, but either way, I'm quite glad to have been able to finally film them on this trip. And with this as well, I've been able to record all three crossings in Georgia along the CSX Columbia Subdivision that retain 8 inch lights!
Also great to see an incandescent gate light still remains on the closer signal as well. This is also the northernmost crossing along the line in Georgia.
