*originally recorded on 7-31-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of WCH 12x20 inch lights with WCH 1st Generation LEDs, a WCH Type 1.5 electronic bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and WCH LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of WCH 12x20 inch lights with WCH 1st Generation LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and WCH LED gate lights.

This was the last place I caught the train at before they reached the state park and tied down. I'd hoped they'd run it back to Cordele to put the rolling stock away, but it seems that that was done Monday instead. A bit of a shame too, as I hoped to get some nice stuff on the HOG around Cordele recorded, but oh well. Still was a fun and rather successful chase, as, between the two of us, Elliot and I were both able to get all of the signalized crossings between Plains and Cobb along the HOG recorded.

This crossing is also a pretty nice little one, IMHO, despite having newer equipment than the rest. The signals here are an early-2000s HOG install, and are still mostly original. The signals here appear to have originally had all WCH equipment, but sometime around 2016/2017, the original WCH e-bell on the closer signal died and was replaced with the current NEG e-bell. Since then though, no major changes have occured here thankfully, and the rest of the WCH equipment remains here. I'm especially glad to see the WCH 1st Gen LEDs and LED gate lights are here, as both are rather hard to find in this part of the country. One neat thing to see though is that all of the 1st Gen LEDs here appear to still be in great shape, which is something that's getting a bit harder to find it seems. All in all, it's a neat little crossing and I'm glad to have filmed it.
