Gotta say, this is a neat use and perhaps re-use of abandoned railroad material.

I love the non-standard MUTCD markings used as "flangeways" if you will in lieu of crosswalk markings.

Looks like the crossing had been downgraded from signals for a while prior to going out of service, based on old street view imagery.

Believe I've seen at least one instance elsewhere of crossbucks changed to read "trail trail crossing".
