Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
This was the second train I caught on December 16th. It was this eastbound intermodal train that had an AC44C6M leading an ES44AC and an SD70ACe. Nothing really too special, though far from the worst lash-up out there these days. Weirdly enough, there was one box car on the head-end of the train before a cut of autoracks and then the intermodal containers. No idea why they had that box car there...
This crossing is another pretty nice one, featuring another late-SOU install. It appears that these signals were also put-up in the early-1980s, but in the 2000s, the original (Safetran?) gate mech on the far side was replaced with a newer one. Then, sometime between 2017 and 2020, it appears that the original Safetran mechanical bell here must've died and was replaced with the current Safetran Type 3 e-bell. Since then, thankfully, this crossing has remained unchanged and still features a nice full set of 8 inch lights at it.
