One of two trains I have caught today, also my first time venturing out to Parkville for trains on the BNSF St Joseph Sub. This morning I met up with my friend Jack down in Grandview at a model train store to buy some rolling stock. We decided to go up north to Parkville for a bit since nothing was coming on the KCS Pittsburg Sub. Fortunately we got to Parkville and had to wait an hour or two for something to come. The block signal down the tracks kicked on and we caught a westbound local. The main reason I wanted to film up here was because this crossing and the one you hear in the distance have gs type 1s. These signals were originally installed by the Frisco 9later BN). This crossing used to have incandescent lights and Safetran gate mechanisms until sometime in 2018 when BNSF replaced the gate mechs at this crossing (and the one next to this crossing) to Siemens gate mechs. No clue when exactly the current Dialight Ball leds got installed here, want to say sometime after 2019 as google maps still shows the original incandescent lights this crossing once had. I am planning on returning to Parkville at some point to film the Main St crossing in action.
