My 6th Mexico Sub catch of this year, and another crossing in Oak Grove I've filmed in action. I went back out to Oak Grove today to film another crossing on the Mexico Sub that I haven't filmed at yet. The train itself is KCVN again with another sd70ace leader. Train approached Oak Grove at around 2pm. Crossing itself is a mid 2000's KCS install. No clue when exactly these signals was installed and what it replaced. I assume this crossing once had older gateless signals from the Gateway Western era. This crossing is somewhat unique as it has Harmon 12x24 lights with Harmon Fading leds in them. This is the first time I have filmed a crossing with these particular light frames. There are numerous of crossings on the Mexico Sub that have these light frames. The crossing you can hear in the distance is Broadway St (which I filmed at yesterday). For some odd reason, Broadway St has a bit of an early activation as that crossing activated before this one did. No idea why. Next week, I will try to film Salem St in action (which is the last crossing in Oak Grove), and hopefully film either McDaniel Rd in Bates City, Curtis Rd over in Odessa (which is a bell only crossing).
