Signal on the left: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights, a WCH mechanical bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a WCH mechanical bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

On the morning of January 20th, we got on up and began our trek onto southern Florida. On the way down, however, we stopped on the CSX Wildwood Sub to get a couple of older crossings recorded. This was the first one we stopped at, and, after almost an hour and a half of waiting, I was able to get this local freight heading north with a GP40-2 leading a GP38-3.

This crossing is a very nice one, featuring an almost-pure 1980s CSX install. Almost nothing appears to have changed to this crossing since it was put-up back in the 80s, for which I'm rather glad, though both WCH bells here seem to be a little rough. Not too many pure 80s CSX installs with cantilevers though, especially ones like this one. CSX mounting the gate mechs on the cantilever masts is much more common on their current installs (and seems to have been standard since the mid-2010s), but it ain't exactly something commonly seen on their older installs from before then.
I'd been aware of this crossing for a little while thanks to the videos from Danny Harmon and Dasher U23B that they'd shot here within recent years, and had wanted to go visit it at some point. Hopefully these nice older signals are able to remain around & relatively untouched for a good while longer, but either way, I'm quite glad I was able to get this crossing on this trip.
