Well...

I'm sure some of you heard this on the news, but...

https://wsbt.com/news/local/elkhart-to- ... d-crossing

Elkhart's might f*** up another crossing and convert it into a overpass, due to constantly blocked with either with slow moving or stopped trains.

To be fair, I like this crossing, due to it having it's 4 signals, and both Quad gate signals have the 2 tracks signs underneath the lights.

But... Elkhart... Stop closing your crossings and converting them. Lusher Ave better not be next... :Curse1:

This makes sense though. If it's a busy road and trains have a tendency to stop on it and block it, then that's just gonna create large amounts of congestion.

Well... I see what you mean.

However, in this town, Allentown PA, there's a RR Crossing called Auburn St, and it's very close to the Norfolk Southern Allentown Terminal, and often, trains stop at the crossing on the way to the yard and it causes it to block the crossing.

No idea how they don't seem to care about converting the Auburn St crossing into a bridge these days...

However, one day, the line was really busy. A train ended up stopping at a signal which was before the crossing, it was pretty long, and it blocked two crossings, Auburn St, and the 12th and Vultee St crossings. Which was more than a mile and a half away.

So yea...
