I know someone from the site was in Alton since it has one crossing on the site.

Well, unfortunately, according to the Wigwag Fan Yahoo! group they have been removed.

Many of those Google images are about 2 years old so anything vintage we may find now has an increasingly slim chance of remaining in service. Sad but that's how it is.

When i was there back in '08 the one with the teardrop bell was gone but the other one was still there.
