After catching M531 in Nashville, we chased it over to this crossing in Pegram. This crossing is a fairly nice one, featuring what appears to be an early-2000s CSX install that seems to have directly replaced a 1980s CSX install, with a WCH mechanical bell from one of the old signals being reused onto the current ones. The signals here remained largely unchanged until sometime between 2016 and 2019, when the lights here were all upgraded to LED. Then, sometime much more recently, CSX replaced most of the gate lights here with NEG LED gate lights.
When Ethan first recorded this crossing back in 2019, the bell on the closer signal was dead. However, sometime after that, CSX actually repaired the bell here and now it works again, though it does sound a bit rough. Still makes for a very nice bell combo though.
