Private Crossing, Pride, AL

*originally recorded on 6-17-23*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a dead General Signals (Type 2?) electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and a RECO gate light.
After catching NS A83, I continued on west, only to see there was something else lined east behind it. As such, I decided to stop at this crossing and set-up. After a short wait (and a short chat with the site manager for the quarry here, who was friendly and okay with me filming this crossing), this eastbound mixed freight, I believe NS 16Z(?), came flying through with a pair of BNSF ES44DCs leading a pair of NS Dash-9s for power.
This crossing's a fairly nice one, and I'm glad to have finally recorded it. The signals here were installed by NS back in the early-2000s, it appears, and have remained largely original since. Unfortunately, the bell on the far side has gone dead, which is a bit of a shame to see, but these signals still look rather nice regardless. Also, IDK why, but these signals honestly remind me a bit more of the 2000s NS installs typically seen up in the midwest than the ones down here in the southeast...
It's also nice to have been able to film another private crossing in action.
