Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching the loaded CSX coal train, I returned back to this crossing and waited for a train here, during which another southbound CSX coal train came through (that I decided to let myself miss). After about an hour of waiting here though, this northbound NS mixed freight came through with an NS Dash-9 leading a KCS AC44CW and an NS ES44DC for power! Definitely a great lash-up on this guy.

This crossing is another nice one, featuring what appears to be a late-70s SOU install (though with seemingly-reused early 5 inch Safetran bases for the gate masts, for some reason). In the early-90s, however, NS replaced all of the original 8 inch mast lights here with the current Safetran 12x24 inch lights. Then, in the late-90s, the bell here was replaced with the current GS Type 1 e-bell. Finally, sometime between 2007 and 2011, NS replaced the gate mast on the far signal, causing the original Safetran gate mech to be replaced with the current, newer one.
Since then, however, these old SOU signals have thankfully remained unchanged, with a fair amount of their original equipment on them still. Both signals still feature their original overhead lights, which is quite nice to see, along with the closer signal still featuring its original gate mast and gate mech. The GS Type 1 e-bell here is also quite nice to see, always love finding these things. Hopefully these signals remain here unchanged for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm quite glad I got to film this when I did.
