*originally recorded on 7-8-23*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
After I caught NS 320 leaving Sheffield, I decided to chase it on south to Russellville to get another of the unrecorded crossings there filmed. After a bit of waiting, 320 reached Russellville about the same time is started to rain here.
Like with most of the other signalized crossings in Russellville, there were originally some late-SOU signals at this crossing. The closer signal here had a set of 12x20 inch lights, which appear to have been MI or Harmon, while the far signal had mostly GRS Lex-C 12x20s with what appears to have been a lone Safetran 12x24 mixed in. Both signals still had their original Safetran mechanical bells back in 2008, along with their original GRS gate mechs then as well. As such, due to having GRS gate mechs, these signals were replaced in 2011 with the current ones, and, outside of the gate arms, the closer signal's gate lights, and ENS signs all being replaced between 2014 and 2020, no major changes appear to have occurred to this crossing since then.
