After catching the southbound ethanol train, I went on over to this crossing just in case something else would run on the Birmingham Sub before dark. Luckily for me, after about 3-ish hours of waiting, I started to hear what sounded like an approaching train. I got my camera started and, sure enough, this short southbound BNSF intermodal train (mostly autoracks) came flying through with a pair of H2 Dash-9s leading an ES44DC for power! Definitely a nice little catch, so I'm glad I got to film it.
This crossing is a pretty decent one, being another fully original early-2000s BNSF install. This is another one that hasn't had any major changes to it since it was installed, which is nice to see. Hopefully it continues to remain unchanged for many more years to come.
This crossing is also the only one in the small, unincorporated community of Greenwood Springs.
