I was able to leave work on time for once! It was a nice evening, so I headed over to the local Amtrak station to catch the 8:30 train hopefully before it got too dark. Unfortunately, as my luck goes, the train was 30 minutes late.
But it wasn't a lost cause. Check out what's going on with these signals next to the station. Haven't seen this happen before.
By the way... I did pause the video... the train was stopped for a total of about 5 minutes. You can see how much the traffic was backed up once the gates go up.

An actual strobing light.

It is probably some loose circutry connection in that particular lamp. LED's are pretty much instant on, and that one doesn't quite seem to make it up to full brightness.

I was about to say the same thing. Probably a loose connection in the lamp. Now if all of them were doing that I'd probably say something is wrong with the flasher relay in the case.

Something I forgot to mention... it appears the rear light on that same side is doing the same thing. You can see the reflection off the train once it enters the crossing.
I do agree though, a loose connection is a possibility... but odd that it would effect both the front and rear lights.

Those things don't flash right anyways. They need to put up Dialight Ball LED's. That's one reason I hate any kind of dotted ones.

Yeah you're right owensri. I can see it strobing in the peep hole. How weird. I wonder if its a faulty connection to the relay flasher to those particular lights?

No, it wouldn't be a flasher relay problem. The other lights work fine. Probably a loose connection on the terminal for those two lights...
