Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a dead General Signals electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
After I got 40Z, I went down to this crossing to wait on the northbound. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch this NS 12T flying north with a lone AC44C6M for power. Definitely neat to see one of the earlier ones rebuilt from a C40-9 pulling this train, admittedly. Also, apologies for the gust of wind right as the crossing activates that nearly blew my tripod over.
This crossing is another decent one, featuring yet another early-2000s NS install that's still largely original. Unsurprisingly at some point, NS replaced both gate arms here with newer ones. Interestingly, sometime within the past couple of years, it appears that NS replaced the bracket, or at least the mounting arms for the right-hand lights, on the closer signal and now the lights on that signal are off-centered. The heads appear to still be the original ones though, so I have no idea why this was done. It sounds like the bell on the far signal is dead too, as it sounds like only the closer signal's bell is working.
