*originally recorded on 4-19-25*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of WCH 8 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of WCH 8 inch lights, a Modern Industries mechanical bell, a GRS/WRRS gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

While waiting here, I heard an I155 stopping nearby to wait for L448 to clear-up. After catching L448 shoving through, I saw that the clouds were thick enough for the lighting would allow for me to film the other side of the crossing without it being too backlit, so I decided to move over to this side of the crossing to wait for the intermodal train. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch my second train of the day: CSX I155 with a pair of UP AC45CCTEs for power.

This crossing is a very nice one, featuring a late-70s L&N install that appears to still be fully original! Strangely, the closer signal here has one of the older GRS/WRRS-branded GRS Type D gate mechs, no idea if this was reused here when these signals were installed or if it was just new-old stock the L&N had on-hand at the time. Either way, these classic L&N double mast signals appear to have had no major changes to them since they were installed. The closer signal also still retains an older diagonally-striped gate arm, which is nice to see as well. The MI bell here also still sounds rather healthy aside from a click when it starts, so hopefully this crossing will remain fully original for many more years to come. All in all, this is a great crossing, and I'm glad I finally got it recorded.
