Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, an NEG electronic bell, a WABCO Model 75 gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a WCH mechanical bell, a WABCO Model 75 gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
After catching the southbound Silver Meteor, I snagged myself some lunch and then made my way down to this crossing to wait for my next train. After a while of waiting, I was able to catch my third train of the day: the northbound Silver Meteor with a P42DC leading an ALC-42 for power.
This crossing is another nice one, featuring a pair of old SCL signals from the late-70s at it. In the late-1980s, or possibly the early-90s, CSX replaced all of the lights here with the current MI 12x24s. Then, in the mid to late-2010s it appears, CSX replaced the bell on the far signal with the current NEG e-bell. Thankfully, since then, nothing else has changed to this crossing.
Definitely nice to see that this crossing still has both of its original WABCO gate mechs still. Also nice to see that this crossing still has its original WCH mechanical bell, which still sounds fairly healthy. For whatever reason, the front lights (at least) on the closer signal here definitely seem to be quite dim, though I'm not entirely sure why this is. Admittedly, they should probably be upgraded to LED, given how dim they are on this bright and sunny day. This crossing is still rather nice though, and is on a nice and quiet dirt road away from any busy main roads.
