After catching L717 at 25th Street #2 (with a less than ideal video), I chased it south to Airport Boulevard #2 where I watched it working one of the customers next to that crossing with the two local railfans I met before I hopped on down to this crossing to get it next. After a bit of waiting, I was successfully able to catch CSX L717 here for the second time on this day at my second crossing of the day.

This crossing is a pretty decent one, even if it ain't the most interesting one on this branch line. The signals here were installed by CSX back in the early-2000s, and have basically remained almost entirely unchanged since. I will admit, it's definitely nice to get another one of these early-2000s installs recorded with all of its original equipment still, there definitely ain't too many left in my part of Alabama like this.
The crossing also activated quite early for some reason, activating nearly 1 and a half minutes before the train actually reached the crossing. Then, it took the crossing well over another minute after the train passed to actually deactivate as well. Clearly something's a bit messed-up with the detection equipment here, not sure what would be causing such an early activation or late deactivation otherwise, but at least the signals still activated for the train I suppose.
