After I caught 601, I went on home (filling-up my car on the way) and slept. After I woke-up, I loaded my car back-up and hit the road for Memphis since the weather seemed to be favorable for them to test. As I was driving down US 72 through Colbert County, AL, however, I wound-up catching-up with a 73Z around Pride, so, after a quick bathroom break in Cherokee, I chased it on over to this crossing in Burnsville. Thankfully, I was able to beat it here with a few minutes to spare, and here we get to see my second train of the day: NS 73Z with a pair of BNSF SD70ACes pulling on the head-end and a BNSF ES44AC working as the train's DPU.
This crossing is another pretty decent one, featuring yet another 2000s NS install at it like the rest of the crossings on this part of the Memphis West. Like those others, this one has also remained pretty much completely unchanged from when it was originally installed, outside of the signage, gate arms, and gate lights of course. I must say, I do quite like how this one's layed-out despite not having the most interesting equipment out there, so I'm definitely glad I was finally able to film it.
