Sad news today. There was a tender going for the replacement of the control system and signals at the level crossing in Orzeszkowo.

The 52-year-old system will be replaced with an 18-year-old (albeit refurbished) RASP-4Ft system from Szepietowo on line no. 6, which, as a result of having several crossings removed in preparation for 200km/h linespeeds, has seemingly become a crossing donor for other lines - another crossing upgraded with a used RASP-4Ft is in Nowa Rozedranka, which had its equipment moved over from Niewodnica Koƛcielna.

The crossing in Orzeszkowo has the last SP-COB-63A crossing control system in the entire Podlaskie voivodeship, which is also the oldest of its kind still in operation (manufactured 1971, installed 1973 - SP-COB-63A production began in 1970!).

You can see the crossing in operation here:

Link to the tender (Polish only): https://platformazakupowa.plk-sa.pl/app ... 91/details

Current equipment:
SP-COB-63A (mfd 1971, installed 1973)
2x SD-1M
2x KLD-4013 (1 dead)
CTI-3 sensors

Post-upgrade equipment (speculation):
RASP-4F (mfd 2007, refurb 2025 or 2026)
2x SD-K2
2x KLD-4103 (judging by the equipment originally installed in Szepietowo)
RSR180 sensors

I have received some updates about this:
- The crossing system to be installed is a recycled RASP-4F from 2007, albeit refurbed.
- The new signals are 2x SD-K4 (dual SD-K2 heads).
- There is a lone EHL-S10 e-bell.
- The new equipment is currently installed along the old one.

Podlaskie's last SP-COB-63A's death knell will ring soon.

As we're speaking, the old equipment at Orzeszkowo level crossing has been decommissioned on December 14th.
It is currently awaiting complete removal near the bungalow for the RASP-4F system.

Here's an update on that:
The crossing system in place... is actually a brand new RASP-4.4Ft system with RSR123 sensors, three SD-K2 signals (two share a mast), one EHL-S10 e-bell. I have some pics, but they're not exactly great. Might pull them off the SD card and post them anyway.
