Siemens Imprinted Light Bracket???

I was watching footage of UP6318 leading a WB Coal train on the UP Geneva Sub when I noticed that 1st Ave in Elburn got new signals. I went to this Crossing on Feb 16th 2026 and I found that both signals have Siemens Imprinted Light Brackets. The light housings are still branded by Safetran but I was surprised to find the Siemens branding. This might be old news but has this been spotted anywhere else yet? This crossing also got a GS Type 3 and the standard NEG E Bell.

Fluent here.

Yes, Siemens light brackets as a matter of fact have been spotted on different lines already.

The first known crossing to feature Siemens brackets is in Findlay, Ohio. You can see the image for it here. Image

The crossing itself: https://www.rxrsignals.com/Ohio/A-K/Fin ... _Western2/

This was discovered by Northwestern Ohio Rail Productions, and I surprisingly didn't realize it at the time lol.

Siemens is still putting "Safetran" on the back of their lights? Why qould they do that? You'd think that they would've branded it as their own by now.

Costs money, a lot of money, to update molds apparently. My guess is that Siemens ain't gonna rebrand the light heads until they decide to end production of the incandescent lights they make.

First time I ever saw them and I hunted around on the site for them but had no luck finding them. Guess I had to try harder.

Yeah, NS still installs them occasionally. When the signals at Church Street in downtown Madison were replaced last year, they featured brand new incandescent lights.
