I think we need to add "Doesn't Matter" as well.
That would be my answer... honestly it doesn't make a difference to me... just as long as they aren't mismatched.

I like 8 inch & 12*24 lights equally, because 8 inch lights are rare, and the 12*24 inch light is simply an 8 inch light with the lightheads increased by 3 5/8 inchs, and the backgrounds increased by 4 inches.
And many will hate me for this next statement, but I think 12*20 inch lights are ugly.

Since 8 inch lights are no longer allowed on public crossings, I voted 12*24 inch.

Ok, since I'm really really forced to make a decision... I'm going with 12x24.
1: 12x24
2: 8"
3: 12x20

Mine are as follows...
1. 8"
2. 12"x20"
3. 12"x24"
12"x24" are just way too big looking in my opinion...
If the crossing has 12"x24"...it must be the aluminum backgrounds and visors...not the plastic hideous ones...
