Track views. There used to be 3 tracks here at one point in time... More on that later. |
This sign shows you that this is a one-way street, although it didn't used to be like that. More later... |

While you look at the pictures, let me tell you a little bit of history on this crossing.
Those of you who have my "TV Signals" DVD should recognize this crossing right away. This crossing was featured on an episode of COPS, where an older lady got stuck between two tracks. There used to be 3 tracks here during that time.
This road used to be a 2-way crossing, with three sets of cantilevers with 8" lights, including 2 Griswold cantilevers with no mast crossbucks or mast lights. There was another gateless signal that used to be right next to the stop sign in picture 15, but was removed when the street became one-way. The other cantilever may have been a RACO 8" cantilever with front and rear lights on the cantilever mast. |

The train passes after more than 15 minutes of blocking the crossing. As expected, the bells only sound from activation to when the gates fully lower. |
|
The cantilever signal. |
This is still a Lincoln Industries cantilever. |
The mast lights still remain, but now have Leotek EV series LEDs in them. |
|
The overhead lights are the same, although now have Leotek EV series LEDs as well. |
The gate mechanism is still from Safetran. |
||
The gatelights are from RECO and the gate has been restriped. |
The WCH mechanical bell still remains. |
The mast signal. |
|
It has another Safetran base. |
An older Safetran gate mechanism that also still remains. |
The new emergency information. |
The lights on this signal are now 3 Hawker-Safetran 12x24s with Leotek EV series LEDs and 1 newer WCH 12x24 with a WCH 2nd Gen. LED. |
|||
More RECO gatelights and the gate was restriped. |
The Safetran Type 2 E-Bell was replaced with an NEG E-Bell. |
