Looking east. The DART Green Line is grade-separated, while the DGNO crosses at-grade.
Looking west. The westbound goalpost is missing its crossbuck sign.
Track view looking north (towards the Belt Line Rd. #1 crossing).
Track view looking south (towards the Fourth Ave. crossing).

This crossing is located next to one of my favorite restaurants, Babe's Chicken Dinner House. They serve chicken fried steaks that are bigger than your plate, have excellent homemade side dishes and desserts, and the waitresses dance the "Hokey-Pokey".

The way the DGNO tracks are now is a big improvement over the way it used to be before the DART construction. The old tracks that were here were in very bad condition: the rails were warped, and cars used to park right along side the tracks. Where there is now a wide landscape buffer, there used to only be a rope and a row of "No Parking" signs separating the tracks from a gravel parking lot (which was frequently full due to the popularity of Babe's). The crossing has always been passive, however it used to just have standard crossbucks instead of the "goalpost" signs.
