Looking west. The DART Green Line is
grade-separated, while DGNO crosses at grade.
|
Track view looking north. Notice in the
distance there are railroad ties laying in an "X" and a pile of gravel
across the tracks. A red board (stop sign) marks the end of the line.

Track view looking south (towards the Merrell
Rd. crossing).

This crossing is currently the furthest north crossing remaining on this segment of the DGNO line (the freight line was abandoned and removed between here and Carrollton). The tracks end and there is a red board just north of this crossing. Beyond that there used to be signalized crossings at Royal Lane and Northhaven Road, along with many passive crossings. Although DART now runs along this RoW, it is grade-separated for most of the way.
