170 trains go by the crossing on weekdays, and 92 on weekends.
NOTE: This road is named "Restland" after the HUGE (375 acre / 125,000 graves) cemetery along its south side.
Overall view facing east. Notice there is no
signal on the right side of the road.
For some reason, all of the signals at this
crossing are located in the median. This is unusual, especially since
there is already a huge high-voltage electric pole there.
Back side of the eastbound signals.
Overall view facing west.
The westbound signals. The gate / rear light
mast has the only bell at this crossing.
Lights and an emergency sign (with no DOT
number).
Closeup of LED light (not lit).
The crossbuck on the right side of the road
(westbound). This is the only crossbuck at this crossing that has a
"normal" font.
Track view facing south. The bridge overpass
in the distance is Interstate 635.
Track view facing north.
The equipment bungalow.
The signals activate for a southbound train.
The gates go down. |
DART train approaches...
...and passes.
Cantilever lights lit. Notice the font on the
crossbuck.
The signals activate again.
Closeup of the LED lights when lit.
A northbound train zooms by at about 50 mph.
Note: The LED lights lit are actually UP LEDs.
