This has been on Josh's
old website before. This really is an unique installation. No lights on
the front of the signal, but lights facing the sides. This was done
because there is no road to the left of the crossing. Josh also wonders
why the crossbucks aren't facing the same way as the other two side
lights. What's also unusual is the gate length and the type it is. It
is one of the old "A" type wishbone gates that are getting harder to
find.

Action Shots. The
wishbone gate has to have two counterweights because it is so long and
heavy. It also has shock absorbers too. It makes a hissing sound when
it almost fully lowers. Josh promises more updated pictures to come
soon.

Updated pictures from
December 21, 2003. Looks like very little has changed, except for a new
billboard sign.

Picture 12 shows the
opposite side of the tracks. Behind looks like a parking garage.

More action shots. Look
at picture 14. The opposite gate is already up. That's how slow the
wishbone gate is. Also note both lights lit up. The signal doesn't do
that, it's just a slight problem with the camera. Also note there's a
small post hanging around the middle light. That's the shock absorber
so the gate will not go down to far, or crash if gets too much speed.
A return visit by FAsandRXRsofTexas in
July 2025 shows the wishbone was sadly removed. However, this crossing now has an assigned DOT number!
