Try not to get confused. The old road used to cross where the old RACO cantilever signals are currently. They moved the road after an accident to it's current position and new signals were being installed at the time of documentation. Facing Northeast. |

Views of the railroad. Picture 2 faces
Westbound. Picture 3 faces Eastbound.

This view faces North. You can see the median
signals with 5 WCH LED gate lights.
|
Pictures 5 and 6 show the orignal RACO signals that the previous road crossed over. The future for these signals will be scrapped or stripped for parts. | |
|
Picture 7 faces South. We get a very decent overview of the large crossing setup. A full set of cantilevers and two median signals. Picture 8 shows the base for a future signal yet to be installed. |

Here are some drawings constructed by Brian556 of the history of this crossing. Picture A (1961) shows that this crossing used to be FM 544. FM 544 turned north here instead of continuing east. Picture B (in 197) FM 544 was rerouted to continue east, and the portion of former FM 544 that is over this crossing became FM 1378. Picture C shows the configuration as of 2011.
Pictures A-C are in PNG format, the resolution is 1005x610,
and the file size is from 13 to 21 KB in size. |
