These signals were installed by the Maine Central circa the very late 70s or early 80s. The line has been out of service since September 1999, with the New Hampshire & Vermont railroad serving as the final operator. The crossing is extremely grown in, which made it difficult for me to get certain shots. Vermont Rail System has announced plans to re-activate the line from Whitefield to St. Johnsbury in the future, so stay tuned as time goes on.
