Later in May 2019, the crossing was completely replaced and wayside signals were installed due to the new quiet zone. Note those sidelights on the southern median signal... ...as those had disappeared by Apr 2023!

A few months before the December photos were taken, an interesting event of note happened!

On a clear day on August 25, 2024, holdyourspike decided to check on the crossing, and the eastern median gate got knocked down! He managed to take photos of the knocked down gate. DuPont Police told him that a drunk driver took the off-ramp too fast and crashed into the signal.

The next day, he returned to the crossing with nothing changing. Trains still have to flag down the crossing. The base got replaced, though.

On the third day, however, repairs finally started! By the time holdyourspike arrived at the crossing, the damaged gate was lifted upright! Here's some photos of the repairs.
64 65
During the repairs, the light mount on the western gate fell down! holdyourspike noticed this when a slight "tink" occurred. One of the 3 repair crew went over to fix the mount.

holdyourspike asked one of the repair crew if he could take a few pictures of the relay bungalow, and they jokingly responded with "You're gonna have to talk to the government about that." A few seconds later, he said "Ah, I'm just kidding. Go ahead and take as many photos as you want." holdyourspike then took a few pictures of the interior.
