Facing North again. |
The 8" lights were made by WRRS, but each cantilever lacks rear lights on the cantilever, and a little extra growth in picture 2 isn't pretty, but effective.
There's one mechanical bell seen in picture 4, and it's WRRS.

Pictures 1-13 were taken on October 20, 2006.
Taken April 20, 2007. The Northbound signal now has a "DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS" sign underneath the mast lights. |
A train is coming! |
Trains in the daylight are extremely rare on this part of the line, so it was very lucky to catch this in action! Like many similar cantilever crossings in Green Bay, the cantilevered lights have 8" L.E.Ds in them while the mast lights are still incandescent. |

For those concerned, the signals were still active in picture 25, but were caught in mid-flash.
In the audio file you can hear the bell(s) at nearby University Ave. #1 and/or Day St. #1 near the beginning and end of the clip. It is rather strange that at least one of them activated before Elizabeth St. did, since from the direction the train was coming it crossed Elizabeth first.
Pictures 15-25 and the audio clip were taken on November 13, 2007.
