Here's another interesting setup. This is a narrow, privately-owned alley (although anybody can drive through it) that connects the Shopko parking lot with another parking lot. However, the crossing is protected by a total of three RACO signals, two gates, and two bells! The lights are all 8" incandescents.
The bell on the gated signal is a fast ringing Safetran mechanical bell. There is a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell on the gateless signal.

These old backgrounds are quite faded. |
In picture 5 you can see this crossing's proximity to Military Avenue #2. The two crossings activate and deactivate at the same time.
This background on the southbound signal is cracked. |

The signals activate in picture 15! The train starts crossing in picture 17. The gates start going down almost instantly after the lights and bells start.

The signals deactivate in picture 23, but then I got a bonus. The signals malfunctioned by activating again barely a second after deactivating, and stayed active for about 30 seconds as in picture 24. The signals at Military Ave. #2 did the same thing.
This crossing is in a quiet zone. Trains do not sound their horns at this crossing.
The bells at this crossing shut off just before the gates start going up.
Pictures 15-24 and the audio clip were taken on October 9, 2007.
