A WRRS/GRS Model 10 gate mechanism. |
These are some old WRRS Model 10 gated signals, although unfortunately the lights are now 12" x 24" Safetran incandescent lights. Everything else, including the mechanical bell is from WRRS or the partnership of WRRS-GRS.
Picture 5 is looking southwest. Picture 6 is a track view to the north. The East Washington Avenue #1 crossing can be seen in the distance, as well as the rear of the train that went through the crossing as shown in pictures 9-12.
Picture 7 is a closeup of the WRRS mechanical bell. Picture 8 shows the relay case. It bears a label expressing a common Madisonian political sentiment. |

Here is the crossing in action for a WSOR excursion train with one of their old E-unit locomotives and old Metra bilevel coaches! |

Pictures 1-12 were taken on August 12, 2007.
Here are a couple action pictures of the other side of the crossing taken back on November 25, 2007. Note the upside-down gate arm. You can barely see Dickinson St. #2 in the background of both pictures.
