Here are some more 12" x 20" US&S signals. By the time these pictures were taken, L.E.D.s had been put into the lights. The gate mechanisms are US&S Model 75. The US&S mechanical bell stops ringing when the gates close, then rings again when the gates go up.

 

Union St. is the next crossing southeast of here.

 

The daily train count is given by the FRA as 35 for this crossing and for Division St., but 29 for all other crossings in the area. Since there are no switches or junctions, there's no reason the counts should be different.

Picture 5 shows the relay case. Pictures 6-9 are video stills of the crossing in action on March 15, 2007, when the lights were still incandescent. In picture 6 a westbound CP freight is crossing, and in pictures 7-9 it is the eastbound Amtrak Empire Builder.
