The relay cabinet.

Picture 8 is a track view Southwest toward the Milwaukee River swing bridge, which is now permanently open to river traffic.

Picture 9 is a track view Northeast where the rails go through a gravel parking lot and dead-end at a concrete barrier. Traces of a switch are faintly visible in the gravel, a spur to a long-defunct industrial customer that would have been the reason for keeping this track in after the end of passenger service. The vacant lot beyond once contained a yard with a roundhouse and turntable. It now serves as a parking lot for the annual Summerfest music festival.

The crossing has been repaved and the rails no longer cross the street.
Notice the light glowing on top of the relay cabinet. The crossing still has power and could be activated.
