This crossing is located on the CSX Greenwich Sub, and is the location of a connector track between the Greenwich Sub and the Willard Terminal Sub.  W&LE also has trackage rights over the connector onto the Greenwich Sub going east.

Action shots from a WB Intermdoal train.  The advance warning sign in Picture 31 was for the W&LE crossing that used to be north of this one.  It was taken out in 1999 when the connector was built.

JUNE 2025 UPDATE: Sir Fluent here. Since Tommy was last out here, a few changes were made to the crossing.

On 5-14-25, Nicholas Miles made a return trip to this crossing and discovered all the lights were upgraded to LED. The gate arm on the northern signal was replaced, the gate lights on the southern signal were replaced, and the grade was resurfaced. But unlike Kniffin St. #2, both gate mechanisms here were not replaced. I really don't know why they did a gate mechanism replacement on the 2nd crossing and left the Safetran ones here. Strange in my opinion.

This crossing acts as a double crossing along with Kniffin St. #2.  The lights are connected to different relays as you'll see in the first 2 videos below.  The gate lights on the northern signal are connected to the relay bungalow on Kniffin St. #2 and do not flash at the same rate as the other lights do.
