Weird Bell Mounts
Now I know this is very common on UP to have a NEG e-bell side mount, but a WCH e-bell side mount is very odd.

Yeah. Also hate it when they put e bells on a us&s/griswold cantilever. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.9737071 ... 384!8i8192

Re: Weird Bell Mounts
I actually don't mind that, mainly because it at least allows the old cantilever to stay around a bit longer.flat train wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 1:36 amYeah. Also hate it when they put e bells on a us&s/griswold cantilever. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.9737071 ... 384!8i8192

WCH mech bell on the side

Also worth noting is that all 8x20s on the cantilever except for the side ones have been replaced by 12x24 LEDs. The rears may be incandescents but I don't know since I didn't see it activate from behind. I'm guessing this since the rears had safetran markings while the fronts were WCH

Re: Weird Bell Mounts
A few railroads did that in the past with their mechanical bells.pluey200 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 4:01 pmhttps://www.google.com/maps/@42.1567745 ... 384!8i8192

Re: Weird Bell Mounts
I can remember around a year or two ago I found a CSX crossing with mounted Safetran Type 3 E-Bells, It was somewhere in Florida but I don't know where.

Lakeland? I think there's one in the quiet zone there with a pair of Safetran Type 3s on the side of the masts.NathanFromEngland wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 8:24 amI can remember around a year or two ago I found a CSX crossing with mounted Safetran Type 3 E-Bells, It was somewhere in Florida but I don't know where.
