This crossing is located on the UP Geneva Sub.
These signals were installed in the early to mid 2000s replacing a pair of Safetran gated signals.

By August 2019, both
track signs and both gates were replaced, the grade was resurfaced, the
relay bungalow had its lettering redone, and for some odd reason, the
1st Gen WCH LEDs were replaced by Electro-Tech's LEDs. This
happening while many other crossings on this line are having their
Electro-Tech's LEDs replaced by GE Dotted LEDs.
In August of 2025, SignalMan9292 found
out that brand new wayside horns were installed replacing the dead RS3L
variants that once stood here.
The new ones play the sound of a K5LA, which is the most appreciated
wayside horn in the railfanning community. The signals remain unchanged.

The northern wayside
horn signal. The Flashing X stays on the entire time and does not turn
off if a train is in the crossing. The horns activate 0.5 seconds
before the crossing but the horns deactivate once the train is in the
crossing. I haven't seen a train meet yet myself with these new horns
so I'm not sure if they turn off if both tracks are occupied.

The southern wayside
horn signal. Both wayside horns have L&N bases and are made by Rio
Grande Pacific. This is the same company that has the K3LA variant
which sounds terrible. Its unknown if they made the RS3L variants.
