These signals were pure
classics. These signals get a lot of usage per day, and I'm told that
they're getting tired and need to be replaced. Note the bell sticking
out of both cantilevers. Also note the gate is much shinier than the
cantilevers. In picture #1, there's another 12/8/8 inch traffic light.

In early November 2006 we
find that many 8" lights have now turned into 12"x24" ball L.E.D.
lights!
Picture 5 shows the last pair of 8"
incandescent lights that are left in existance here. At least P&W
left the mechanical bell alone.
On February 1st, 2025, Portland Westside Railfan made a return trip to this crossing. The crossing didn't have any changes except for the gate lights change to NEG clear LEDs on both gates.
