Western Wallop in the Central Valley

The rains continue to fall around here in Central California. A few weeks ago, we had 6 days of rain. Hanford had received 3.24". There was flooding in many valley counties that the governor has declared a state of emergency for Kings, Tulare, and Kern Counties. All during that time we were in a Flood Warning. We attempted to dry out for two days until a Christmas day storm came through and dumped a half of inch in a short time.

Now this morning after more rain, I wake up to a Flood Warning again and a wind advisory.

Hopefully we get a few days to dry out. And maybe some sun.

A lot of areas around Los Angeles got over 8" of rain, with some locations getting over 20".

As for Arizona, the weather is getting a bit rarer around here. First the Tornado outbreaks back on October 6, and now some significant snows since at least 1998 are expected to fall around here, with pretty frigid temperatures nearing 10 for a low with highs not expected to get above Freezing Tomorrow (28 to be exact).

Its going to be could around here, but in the mornings. Lows are expected to be around 27-29 degrees.

I Live in North Phoenix and about an hour ago, we had light snow flurries!

In my neck of the woods, the weather has been like a yo yo (typical for this time of year).

Christmas Eve we got 5 inches of snow (was nice to wake up to on Christmas morning). Then, starting on Tuesday it gradually warmed up with temps in the 50's today and rain... which has melted almost all the snow we had.

Tomorrow (Friday) the high is expected to be 63 degrees with thunderstorms possible! Then New Years Day back to the cold with a high only around 30.

Gotta love living in the Midwest!
