I was watching them test the WES crossings at Farmington in Beaverton when they got the first train cars. The gates there did the exact same thing, mostly because the rails had been in place six months or so and got rusted up. Thankfully there were flaggers there in case this type of thing happened. The next week they had the rail grinder out to smooth things up.
